A Message from the President of ICA Insurance Services
How do we plan to share more commissions?
For example, take United Life Insurance Company fixed annuities and life insurance. You may or may not know United Life discontinued their bonus commission plan last December. In its place, they boosted upfront commissions for everybody, but it still is not as good as it used to be for agents like you. Thankfully, ICA Insurance Services was able to work with United Life—and we maintained their best independent contract going forward. With this effort, the Agency will receive additional commissions on business and then share with agents each year in the spring. However, this only applies if your United Life business is run underneath ICA Insurance Services.
So how do I make sure my UL Business goes through ICA Insurance Services?
Simple. Click on the opt-in button below and a pre-populated email will appear. I have been working with folks at United Life Insurance Company who are expecting this email to arrive. I will be copied on the email as well and follow it through. Let me reassure you; nothing about moving your book of United Life fixed annuities or life insurance contracts underneath ICA Insurance Services takes away any of your flexibility. You own your clients and that is not changing. What will change? Going forward you have the opportunity for a commission boost via ICA Insurance Services from United Life Insurance fixed business.
I cannot stress how important this is, especially for agents who used to place United Life business through the former SBG, now Lockton Agency. Why? Because last December, United Life (UL) pulled away the PGA contract from Lockton (formerly SBG). This has caused quite a few ICA Agents (possibly you) to do business direct with United Life at an RGA level and not even realize it. RGA is one step below PGA as far as commission schedule.
